Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Test Technician to support mission-critical aerospace and defense products by performing testing, troubleshooting, and final validation of accelerometer systems prior to customer delivery. In this role, you will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure all products meet stringent performance and quality standards.

• Set up test fixtures and configure equipment required for product validation.
• Prepare clear and accurate test documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform vibration testing, rate table testing, and final acceptance testing on accelerometer systems.
• Document test results, faults, anomalies, and any deviations from expected performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Use test instruments such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), and other electronics test equipment to diagnose problems.
• Apply ESD procedures and mitigation principles when handling sensitive electronic components.
• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to support hardware testing and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.
• Prepare products for final inspection, packaging, and shipment to customers.
• Assist with production-related tasks as needed to support overall manufacturing and test operations.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and compliant work area in accordance with company and industry standards.

• High School Diploma or GED (high school diploma or equivalent).
• Previous testing experience or equivalent technical education in a related field.
• Ability to perform electronics testing and hardware validation using standard test equipment.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills for electronic and electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), and other testing instruments.
• Familiarity with soldering techniques and basic electronics assembly practices.
• Understanding and application of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures and mitigation principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document test results and anomalies.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and ability to work as a team player.

• IPC J-STD-001 certification in soldering and electronic assembly (preferred).
• Technical degree in Electronics or a related curriculum (preferred).
• Work experience in manufacturing, production, or test environments.
• Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills for complex systems.
• Experience with electromechanical systems and hardware testing.
• Hands-on experience with electronics test equipment and validation processes.
• Ability to use testing instruments for detailed analysis and fault isolation.
• Comfort working with electro-mechanical wiring and hardware configurations.
• Strong computer literacy beyond basic office applications, including data entry and documentation in test or production systems.
• Proven track record of reliability, ownership of tasks, and commitment to quality.

This role is based in a production and test facility in Niagara Falls, New York, operating on a 4-day workweek with 10-hour first-shift days. You will work in a hands-on electronics and electromechanical testing environment, using equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), vibration tables, rate tables, and other specialized test fixtures. The workspace emphasizes adherence to ESD procedures and safe handling of sensitive electronic components, with a focus on organization, documentation, and compliance with established test protocols. You will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams on the shop floor and in test areas, following standard facility guidelines and appropriate technical attire suitable for a manufacturing and test setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Niagara Falls, NY.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
