Production Associate - Finisher // 1st and 2nd Shift Available // $18 - 20/HR (Depending on Experience)

Job Description

Responsible for performing all tasks involved in the fabrication of composite parts. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Responsibilities

• Use files, deburring knives, and sandpaper to hand finish machined metal and plastic parts.
• Perform composite layup such as Carbon Pre-Preg, Carbon Fibers, Kevlar layup, Fiberglass, and Hand Layup.
• Trim excess materials from molds using hand shears or trimming knives.
• Perform part build-up free from wrinkles, air pockets, and voids.
• Remove burrs from machined parts using various hand and power tools.
• Check work to blueprint requirements with assistance and maintain equipment.
• Perform tumbling process and various polishing processes.
• Hold tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Perform extra work around the shop, such as sweeping and cleaning up.
• Polish and blend part surfaces.

Essential Skills

• Power tools experience.
• General labor knowledge.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Automotive repair skills.
• Experience with tools and production.
• Lamination and molding skills.
• Labeling knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months+ manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Hand and power tool experience (hand drill a must).
• Ability to do simple measurements.
• Understanding of written instructions in English; speak at least 70%.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
